Vipers have named Richard Wasswa as interim coach. Wasswa who was in charge of youth development and academy at Vipers before taking up the new job, will be deputized by goalkeeping coach Stephen Kiggundu.

Wasswa was assistant coach at Vipers over a year ago. Wasswa replaces Abdullah Mubiru who was sacked on Sunday with two of his assistants George Nsimbe and John Luyinda after they lost 2-1 to SC Villa on Saturday.

"Wasswa will take charge of the team as a caretaker. He has been under Vipers structures and knows whatever has been going on since he has also been watching our games, "stated Vipers media manager Kenneth Muwanga.
