The third edition of the Color Fun Run goes to Gulu this weekend December 3rd.

The event organized by the brains behind the Kampala Fun Run was started in April this year.

The run will start off and end at Acholi Inn, Gulu.

It is part of the 16 days of activism global campaign against gender based violence. Through this activity, the organizers intend to create awareness of the campaign and galvanize action to end violence against women and girls, particularly in Northern Uganda.

"We are  glad to enable this good cause and also support this initiative which allows participants to unwind and have a great time alongside encouraging personal fitness and exercise," said Rhona Namanya, Brand Manager, Uganda Waragi which is sponsoring the event.

The 5 kilometre colour run experience has runners doused with different colours at every kilometre.

Previous editions have seen enthusiastic runners start the run and show up at the finish line doused in several colours.

The experience will start off with a road trip on December 2nd that will feature a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino Camp for an all-night camping experience before the procession continues to Gulu for the run on Saturday.

To participate in the run, Gulu residents will be charged sh30, 000 whereas the entire sojourn from Kampala to Gulu costs Ush300, 000.
