It was very tough day for the Uganda Women Rugby 7s team (The Gazelles) in the Dubai 7s invitational tournament when they lost all their games.

But the team took it as a learning experience for them.

Coach Helen Buteme told New Vision after Day One that defeats suffered in Dubai were just motivation to work harder and target better performances in other tournaments.

"It was a learning point for us and it has motivated us to work harder because we were gauged where we fall," she said.

"The nerves overwhelmed the players and despite showing flashes of brilliance they were unable to show consistency and lost all games but it is good we got the experience."

The team lost 20-7 to England Samurai and Tabusoro Angels, 26-0 to Tucks Ladies and finally 33-7 to France Development side.

The Gazelles are now set to play for the ninth and tenth position against Poland.

In their games, Uganda's tries were scored by Ritah Nadunga, and Emmanuella Oroma while Aisha Nakityo scored the conversions.
