Political parties NRM, FDC and UPC are each combing for support for the newly created Apac Municipality.
Talib Okabo the NRM chairperson said they will subject their aspirants to party primaries as soon as Electoral Commission issues a road map.
The NRM aspirants are Johnson Ochola, former minister Jovino Akaki Ayumu, Patrick Ogwal Ojok, Sam Opok and the Jimmy Okello, the interim mayor.
FDC leader Ben Olwa said they are yet debating to present a candidate for the Mayoral position.
In UPC camp, Bishop Engena Maitum a son of former president Obote is among those who have declared their interest to contest for the same.
