Joan Mukoova is set to take her performance to another level as she prepares for the East Africa University games starting December 15 in Nairobi, Kenya.

Mukoova just won the beach circuit title for the third consecutive year over the weekend at Sports Beach in Entebbe and she believes her endurance on the sand has helped her to perfect her aim.

"The challenge of playing on sand has helped me to perfect my moves and also regulate the energy while striking the ball," Mukoova said.

At the beach circuit, the Ndejje University engineering student finished top of the women's table with 93 points in four outings.

She finished fourth in the opening circuit in February and later finished in second position in the second and third outings before landing third place in the final outing.

Her final tally put her at five points ahead of siblings Lillian Zawedde (88pts) and Sandra Nabaggala (87pts) in second and third positions respectively.

Meanwhile Joel Adupa from Zoe Woodball Club was also crowned the 2016 men's champion after raising his points tally to 151 at the top of the table.

He finished ahead of Ronald Kawumba 138pts followed by Faustine Ajoba 127pts to also retain the title.

Adupa later paired with Kawumba to win the men's double with 45pts while Zawedde and her sister took the women's double accolade with a tally of 20pts in four outings.

In the corporates category, Innocent Barigye and Ruth Nakkazi emerged overall champions with 72 and 71pts respectively.
