Moroto man jailed for attempted robbery of gun

Moses Mangat reportedly revealed during interrogations that he was on a mission to grab a gun

The Moroto chief magistrate's court has slapped a 42-year-old man with an 18 months sentence for attempted robbery. 

Court presided over by his worship Charles Weteise delivered the sentence to Moses Adam Mangat after convicting him of attempted robbery charges. 

Prosecution stated that Mangat, on July 30th attacked Aaron Lomuria of SGA Security Company who was guarding Stanbic Bank, Moroto branch and attempted to disarm him but his luck ran out when the guard overpowered him and bundled him to the ground before handing him over to Police. 

Mangat who has been on remand reportedly revealed during interrogations that he was on a mission to grab a gun for reasons not disclosed to New Vision.
