Uganda is on a steady path of progress, President Yoweri Museveni has said.

In a meeting with International Monetary Fund (IMF) at State House Entebbe, Museveni said, "Uganda is on a steady path of progress, especially with infrastructure concerns solved. We have laid a firm foundation for growth."

The IMF delegation was led by Axel Schimmelpfennig. They discussed infrastructure, value addition and market integration.

The President also meet officials of CNOOC International Ltd led by vice president Li Yong and discussed the oil sector.
