Sports medics, officials get skills

The two day training workshop was organized by Uganda Olympic committee (UOC) and conducted by Aga Khan Hospital.

The performance of athletes in various competitions is likely to improve after over 50 Sports medical practioners and sports officials underway training in managing injuries.

The two day training workshop was  organized by Uganda Olympic committee (UOC) and conducted by Aga Khan Hospital.

"Let us use this knowledge and apply it for improved performance," UOC president William Blick stated during the closure of the workshop.

"We are advantaged that we have Aga khan hospital as our service provider but we are going to push for a bigger insurance package that will benefit athletes," Blick added.

He promised more training workshops to equip even athletes with how to reduce and manage injuries.
