Azam Premier League preview

Oct 11, 2016

SC Villa are now 4th in the Azam Uganda Premier League with 12 points from seven games.

Sports Club Villa Jogoo interim team coach Shafiq Bisaso is not under pressure to perform because his contract unlike his former boss Deo Sserwada is not performance based.

However, he will still need to show why club president Ben Misagga should not wield the axe.

Bisaso takes charge of his first game as head coach of the record 16-time league champions against The Saints' in their next league engagement at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole on Tuesday.

He has had ample time to plan his game and the result will determine whether or not club officials will be patient with him as an interim tactician at Villa Park or get a more experienced person.

SC Villa are now 4th in the Azam Uganda Premier League with 12 points from seven games. Their latest result was a 4-3 loss to Onduparaka that got coach Deo Sserwadda sacked.

Meanwhile, seventh placed The Saints are a point behind the Jogoos after playing eight matches and securing three wins.

Other games of the day have table leaders KCCA FC away to Kirinya-Jinja at Bugembe Stadium.

Lweza play host to Sadolin Paints at Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku, while Bright Stars FC entertain BUL FC at the Champions stadium, Mwererwe.
