Those who have feared to go for the International Trade fair due to long queues will have to participate this year because the long queues at the gates have been removed.

These have been replaced by technology where by one can pay for a ticket to the show through any Pay way machine and access the fair any day of their choice.

This was announced by the chairman of the trade fair, Joseph Akol for the trade fair that kicks off on Monday, the 3rd of October at the UMA show grounds.

"I want to invite those who have not been coming due to congestion at the gates ,this time to pay for their tickets in advance and choose a day when they feel like coming to the show. Come and see the first time, second and then buy a product on the third day," said Akol.

He said using Payway machines; one can purchase a ticket at sh4000 for adults and sh3000 for children in advance.

A total of 1300 exhibitors both local and international have confirmed participation .Also the management of the fair has set aside a place where agribusiness innovations and products will be showcased to cater for the needs of those interested in agriculture.

"Previously agriculture issues were only being show cased at the annual Jinja Nile agriculture show however we thought that having it in the international trade fair will help those in need of information urgently," added T.S. Mukasa, the show manager.

The fair under the theme "Empowering Women Parity in Manufacturing" is aimed at drawing the attention to the under representation of women in manufacturing. About 1300 exhibitors and 240,000 visitors are expected.
