How to wear stripes

Sep 28, 2016

If you do not have any stripes in your closet, now is that time to think about getting one for yourself.

Designers have showed fashion lovers that wearing stripes is very chic. They have cheered many ladies on when it comes to rocking stripes; for work, a date, or travel.

Online source describe; the term "striped cloth" as any textile woven, knitted, or printed in such a way that bands of different colours, evenly or unevenly spaced, appear on the surface of the fabric.

Striped cloth is usually warp-faced cloth (that is, cloth in which the warp yarns lie on the cloth's surface) in which the warp yarns are laid out in bands of different colours, but striped cloth can also be weft-faced, or knitted, or printed to emulate woven stripes.

Fabrics in which bands of different colours appear in both the warp and the weft (or are printed in such a pattern) are known variously as checks, gingham, tartan, and plaid.

Accessorized

If you do not have any stripes in your closet, now is that time to think about getting one for yourself. If you are the kind that is laid back, then get yourself just an accessory with stripes. It could either be a scurf, bag, shoe or bowtie, belt; this limit to wearing stripes will help kill off the feeling of being out there in everyone's faces, and will leave you feeling so at home.

Mix and Match

For the daring and very outgoing ladies do not be afraid to throw in the bold stripes, in dresses, jumpsuits and more. You can even mix and match it up with narrow stripes. Wear bold stripes at the bottom, and narrow ones at the top. You can even mix and match it with different prints like plaids for bottoms and stripes for top.

Bottom/top

Keep it at bay; you can decide to wear one stripe at a time. Wear a stripe as a bottom; skirt, pants, and pair it up with plain hue at the top. You can also wear the stripe as top; jacket, blouse, t-shirt, shirt or cropped top, and pair it up with a plain hue at the bottom.
