Mamelodi Sundowns owner Patrice Motsepe is a generous South African billionaire.
Over the years, Motsepe has been commended for setting out the highest wage and bonus structure in South African football.
More often than not, Sundowns players have shared the entire cash prize won from previous cup finals.
So if nothing changes at Sundowns, Denis Onyango and his teammates are destined to share the $1.5m (sh5b) at stake for this year's CAF Champions League winners.
Sundowns will battle Egyptian side Zamalek for the top prize over two legs on October 14 and 21.
If Sundowns lose the final, they will still be guaranteed $1m (sh3.3b), according to CAF director of communications Junior Binyam.
"The winner of the CAF Champions League will receive $1.5m and the runner-up $1m," Binyam told South African publication KickOff.com.
Onyango's bank balance could also grow with winning the other lucrative tournaments coming up.
If Sundowns beat Bidvest Wits in the MTN8 final on Saturday, they will pocket R8-million (sh2b).
Then they could pocket another R7-million (sh1.7b) each for the Telkom Knockout and Nedbank Cups. This is outside the R10m (sh2.4b) that will come with retaining the ABSA Premiership.
