“I have grown up on my mother’s side; I do not know anyone from my father’s side. My mother died in South Africa before introducing me to my relatives. It hurts as a boy to be in this world without your father’s relatives,” he said.

Raimon Okello, a first year student at Kyengera city Protecnic Institute is troubled by the absence of a father figure in his life.

His father died when he was still in his mother's womb. When he died, his late mother took him to his grandmother in 1997; his mother remarried and went to stay in South Africa. Unfournately, she died when she was in South Africa before she introduced him to his father's relatives.

"I have grown up on my mother's side; I do not know anyone from my father's side. My mother died in South Africa before introducing me to my relatives. It hurts as a boy to be in this world without your father's relatives," he said.

"I yearn to meet them, I miss the fatherly love and if they are there they should contact me. I was told some of my relatives stay in Lungujja," said Okello.

Okello says that according to the documents, his father was called Alex Max Okello, a former foreman site manager at Jambo Limited.

He was buried in Kololo because they could not take the body back to Gulu because of the war that time.

Right now Okello is under the care of his grandmother.
