Judiciary needs 1billion shillings to cater for election petitions.

The Judiciary says they require over 1 billion shillings to handle all appeals of the Parliamentary election petitions. There are 118 appeals filed in court.

The spokesperson of the Judiciary Solomon Muyita says over 60 files have been allocated to judges but they are waiting for the ministry of finance to release the funds to facilitate the judges and other court staff.
