President returns from one-week overseas trip

The President was received on arrival at Entebbe International Airport by the Vice-President, Mr. Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi.

President Yoweri Museveni is back home from a one-week overseas trip that took him to the French Capital, Paris where he held a meeting with President Francois Hollande and also urged French entrepreneurs to invest in Uganda saying that the country commands a conducive economic and political environment.

The President later travelled from Europe to New York, USA and, among other engagements, he addressed the 71st United Nations General Assembly. During his address to the world body, he criticized the developed countries for perpetrating parasitic practices where developing countries suffer poverty and keep begging while the developed world gets richer.

Others at the Airport to receive the President included the Minister for Presidency, Hon. Esther Ambayo, the Head of Public Service, Mr. John Mitala, the Director of Engineering in the Uganda Air Force, Col. Emmanuel Baingana and the Director in the Uganda Prisons Services, Mr. Samuel Akena.
