Bollywood star Rekha Rana in Kampala

Rekha Rana, an international award winning actress from Bollywood will arrive in Uganda on Saturday.

The actress who is staying for five days is from Los Angeles and is known for her Oscar nominated women oriented feature film "Tara the journey of love & passion."  

The film, according to Mukesh Wakode, her publicist was produced and directed by Kumar Raj, and has won 79 international awards.

"It has been officially screened in 132 international film festivals," says Wakode. What's more, her feature film "Yahaan Ameena Bikti Hai" in which she plays a lead role has been selected for Oscars for the 89th Academy awards for the best film in the foreign language category. The awards are scheduled for February next year.

It was also produced and directed by Kumar Raj. The actress is set to meet the press, Indian community among others during her visit.
