Mike Azira of the USA soccer club Colorado Rapids will get a chance to prove himself with national team The Cranes.

Other players, who return to the squad include; Hamis Kiiza, who has just moved to Free State Stars FC of South Africa and Lebanese club Al Ahed FC right back Dennis Iguma who missed Uganda's qualification because he was suspended.

They are part of a provisional squad of 30 players that coach Milutin Sredejovic unveiled for Cranes' preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ghana Black Stars on October 7.

They start training next Thursday before flying to Togolese capital Lome where they will camp as they prepare to take on Ghana.

The preparations will climax with an international friendly against the Togolese national team on October 4.

Uganda is drawn in the same 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier group with Egypt, Ghana and Congo Brazzaville.
