“There’re a number of initiatives started by your father and mentor, the most recent has been the secondary school in Baribu. We're still in the process of developing the school and his vision was to make it a model secondary school,” he said.

Arua district LCV vice chairperson, Genesis Acema has asked Nebbi Catholic Diocese to continue with Bishop Emeritus Fredrick Drandua's legacy.

Bishop Drandua passed away at Nsambya hospital in Kampala last month.

Acema was speaking during prayers organized by the family of the late Bishop Drandua at his ancestral home at Baribu Village in Okollo Sub Count on Friday.

Acema said the fallen bishop owned a number of projects that were benefitting the community, not only in Baribu but also other areas within Nebbi and Arua dioceses.

"There're a number of initiatives started by your father and mentor, the most recent has been the secondary school in Baribu. We're still in the process of developing the school and his vision was to make it a model secondary school," he said.

Bishop Nebbi catholic diocese, Santos Lino Wanok pledged to continue with the projects that the deceased left mid-way in Nebbi diocese but also appealed to Christians to desist from tribal conflicts.

"I told him(Bishop Drandua), we shall never let you down and we're going to try to leave our differences. The Lugubra, Madi, Arur, Okebu, Lendu-we shall try to live as one people," said Wanok.
