The women rugby 7s coach Helen Buteme has named her final squad of 12 players who leave next week for Zimbabwe for the Rugby Africa 7s tournament next weekend.
They include Aisha Nakityo, Brenda Kayiyi, Charlotte Mudoola, Emmanuella Oroma, Gilder Azikuru, Grace Auma, Harriet Kayonjo, Juliet Nandawula, Peace Wokorach, Phionah Nalubwama and Samiya Ayikoru.
Uganda is in pool B against Tunisia, Madagascar and Neighbours Kenya in the two day tournament.
"We named a mixture of both experienced and upcoming players so that we build a strong future," Buteme stated.
Meanwhile URU has attributed the U-19 team's poor performance to lack of travel documents.
The team suffered cricket score defeats (37-6 and 48-0) against Madagascar in the just concluded U-19 Rugby Africa tier 1B tournament.
URU CEO Ramsey Olinga said that they have already explained to Rugby Africa what went wrong and will be setting new regulations to govern teams.
