The 2016 edition of Miss Earth Uganda was launched yesterday (Wednesday) at Crystal International School.

According to Andrew Kyamagero, one of the judges, the pageant has brought together 12 girls from across the Ugandan regions to contest as well as learn about environmental conservation.

"The girls have a great opportunity to learn about environmental conservation. After which, they will participate in categories like Miss Air, Water and Fire. The overall winner will be one with the most knowledge about those aspects of environmental conservation," relayed Kyamagero during a press briefing at Crystal International School Bugolobi.

The girls are undergoing a boot camp from where they will be taught about those aspects prior to the competition.
