Nyowa district hit by water crisis

The affected parishes are Langele, Okwoto and Bwung

Water shortage has hit three parishes in Koch Lii Sub County in Nwoya district forcing the people there to draw water from streams.  

The affected parishes are Langele, Okwoto and Bwung.

Koch Lii LC5 councillor, who is also the Nwoya district speaker Tonny Okello said people were drinking water from Paya and Adubuk streams, Turu Mwome River which are contaminated.  

He said Koch Lii has no bore hole and protected wells. Koch Lii was split from Koch Goma Sub County in Nwoya District. 

Okello said the people of Lungulu and Got Apwoyo were also facing water shortage.
