Parliamentarians in Kampala have taken matters in their own hands in a bid to bring sanity at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).

City Hall has over the last three years been a scene of fighting between the political and technical wing, the consequence of which was the impeachment of Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago.

But Kampala leaders who have been meeting the leaders, including Erias Lukwago and, Kampala Minister Beti Kamya at KCCA are hoping to bring the warring parties to work in peace together through a series of reconciliation meetings.

The group of parliamentarians is concerned that the bickering at city Hall could bring operations in city to a standstill, affecting service delivery.

"Another five years are likely to be wasted if the two political leaders don't sit on the round table and iron out their difference," said Makindye East MP Ibrahim Kasozi.

The peace deal which has gained a lot of traction in past days promises to bring fights to an end. So far two meetings have taken place, the third in on Wednesday. We have the details of what transpired. Who is accusing the other of what?

See details in Saturday Vision.
