Indian surgeon in Uganda for specialized treatment for disables

Dr. Mathur who was accompanied by the president of Narayan Seva Sewa Sansthan, Prashant Agarwaal arrived at Entebbe International Airport aboard Ethiopian Airlines at 9:00pm.

The Indian senior orthopaedic doctor, Dr. Mathur O.D has jetted into the country to conduct specialized surgeries for the disabled.

Dr. Mathur who was accompanied by the president of Narayan Seva Sewa Sansthan, Prashant Agarwaal arrived at Entebbe International Airport aboard Ethiopian Airlines at 9:00pm.

The Indian doctor is from Narayan Seva Sanstan whose headquarters is at Udaipur, state of Rajasthan India.

Dr. Mathur is in the country to treat the disabled free of charge in a medical and rehabilitation camp at Mulago Hospital for three-days.

He said he is committed to ensure that specialized corrective surgeries are conducted for the less privileged in society.

The medical camp will be conducted in conjunction with ministry of health and department of Orthopaedics of Mulago referral hospital beginning Friday up to Sunday.

During the camp Dr. Mathur would also provide aid appliances to help the crawling people stand and walk on their feet.

At the camp, types of disabilities such as congenital, Arthogryposi CT.EV, Osteogenesis imperfect, development disorder, cerebral palsy, spina -Bi-fida and paraplegia and polio as well as traumatic amputation for prosthesis will be corrected.

It is estimated that 500 disabled persons are expected to benefit from this venture.

 According to Dharmendra Agarwal ,the chief finance officer, of Mogas the institute offers treatment free of charge and over 283,000 surgeries have been successful.
