A flowery affair, an aura of taste and class as George William Nyombi  Thembo, former State Minister for ICT wedded his longtime companion, Angella Naggayi the mother of his two children in a civil wedding at colourful ceremony held at  their splendid house in Ntinda, Kampala suburb last week.

It was a happy moment for Nyombi and his newly wed wife; Angella Naggayi Thembo had waited for the last 17 years.

The couple beamed, waved and danced as soon as Miriam Nabatanzi, a Registrar from Uganda Service Bureau pronounced them husband and wife in the presence of  some of their children, friends and relatives.

"Of course it's my best day to marry the love of my life," Angella said. The couple was officially married in a civil wedding ceremony that took place on August, 19, which was to be followed up by the church wedding on August 27, Apollo Church, Nkumba.

Nyombi lost his first wife in a road accident in 2012 and the couple was cohabiting for some time.

"We agreed to go civil and then we proceed with the church wedding."

Perhaps because of the political profile of the groom-Nyombi, they decided to gazzatte their house for the civil ceremony after meeting all the conditions that were given to them by Uganda Registrar Service Bureau.

Now that the civil wedding is done, all eyes are set for the church wedding and after a wedding reception at their beautiful country house in Bwerenga in Entebbe.
