Tororo South county Member of Parliament Fredrick Angura has held meeting with Tororo district leaders to discussed effective service delivery.

Angura who was on Tuesday received by the district vice chairperson Stella Imukutet held  meeting with LC5 chairman Apollo Jaramogi, the chief administrative officer Christopher Sande Kyomya and a manager from National Water and Sewerage Corporation(NWSC)  Fred Businge.

Angura told the meeting that he was particularly concerned about the increasing unemployment levels despite mushrooming factories, performance of the health and education sectors, operation wealth creations, works department and procurement process among others.

"I'm concerned about the plight of my voters, how they are going to benefit in terms of employment and service delivery from the mushrooming projects like the standard gauge railway, factories and other government projects,'' Angura said.

He also raised the need for more schools in Osukuru Sub County and Malaba town council and the upgrading of one of the health centers into health center IV most preferably Malaba Health center that he said is serving a bigger population across the border to Kenya .

The district chairman Apollo Jaramogi said they are in the process of establishing an investment committee that will be tasked with the responsibility of attracting investors and determining how the youths can be absorbed for employment in such facilities.

The chief administrative officer Christopher Sande Kyomya said his major task is to offer effective service delivery across the board irrespective of one's race, tribe or religion. He promised to implement planned projects under the current budget while appealing to politicians to stop making any sort of interference.

The manager from NWSC Fred Businge appealed to the leaders to mobilize their constituents to apply for piped water connection whose supply he said is constant without any interruption.
