KAMPALA - Ugandan orphans under the care of Bethel Healing Ministry in Kampala have received financial support worth sh150m to finance their day-to-day needs.

The money, received by Pastor Irene Manjeri of Bethel Healing Center, was donated by friends of the church in Poland and the US.

"Let me take this opportunity to introduce to you the good news from your brothers and sisters in the US and Poland. They have given us a donation worthy 150 million shillings to cater for our orphanage and to help us with part of our church construction," said Manjeri.

She announced the donation at Pride Theatre while delivering her sermon upon her return from a three-month trip to the US and Poland.

In her sermon, Manjeri criticized parents who have neglected their role of child bringing, which has seen children ending up on streets.

According to Manjeri, her Bethel orphanage home at Kajjansi is looking after over 50 kids some of who were picked from streets all over the country.

Manjeri also condemned some pastors who allegedly stage-manage fake testimonies in order to pull crowds into their churches.

"Why should a pastor who is anointed with a calling from God have to stage-manage testimonies to get followers?"

She also cautioned business people to surrender their lives to Jesus if they wanted to shine.
