It is now safe to say Pioneer are fully back to winning ways! The defending champions at Entebbe Oval on Saturday thrashed Charity to make it four wins in a row.

They needed the services of skipper Barbra Mukankusi to secure a vital win as the second round of the league got underway.

Mukankusi scored a brutal half century; 66 from 93 balls in the first innings.

Carol Namugenyi put up a man of the match display with a combination of 4/16 with the ball and 12 runs off 14 balls. Kenyan national Abel Queentor also weighed in with 4/15 in 9 overs as Charity were bowled out in 21.2 overs.

"We have started to build the confidence required to keep our title hopes alive" said Emmanuel Isaneez who coaches Pioneer.

They remain third in the standings below Wanderers and leaders Tornado Bee.

Patricia Malemikia claimed 3/34 in 9 overs and Martha Akello had 2/50 in 8 overs to go with Joselyn Nakato's 13 from 29 balls for Charity's limp reply.

Charity sits at the bottom of the log with zero points.

Elsewhere in division two, Immaculate Nakisunyi fuelled Tornado's 83 run win against Premier with a brisk 94 from 55 balls at Budo Oval.
