According to club patron Bernard Atiku who unveiled the deal together with the firm's country manager Anten Oppernan today, the sponsorship covers all requirements for the club.

"Our budget which we hope will successfully facilitate the team without any complaint is no less than sh1bn and this is what it may be," said Atiku who promised fans an entertaining game.

To kick start the season, the team has so far received an initial package of sh180m from the betting company according to Atiku.

"This partnership deal is worth what the team requires for the season. It is about developing football and we think this partnership can be part of other partnerships," said Atiku who is also the Ayivu County MP.

Under the deal, Betway will provide the team with full training and playing kit as well as full facilitation for both players and technical staff.

According to Opperman, the sponsorship package is a long term one that is subject to renewal.
