Online wealth declaration platform launched

The inspectorate of government has launched an online declaration system for leaders to declare their wealth easily.

The web-based database system will enable leaders declare their incomes, assets and liabilities online.

According to the IGG, the system will ease the entire declaration process and analysis of the declaration.

While launching the system Tuesday, the speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga asked the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) to extend internet services to isolated areas to make it easy for government officials in remote areas to access the declaration system.

The speaker also invited government officials to embrace the new system.
