The Lady Rugby Cranes 7s team did not disappoint as they enjoyed group stage victories in the Prinsloo 7s tournament to advance to the quarter-finals in the Kenyan town of Nakuru.

The Gazelles comfortably beat Impala, Nakuru and Kenyatta University.

Peace Wokorach, Samiya Ayikoru, Grace Auma, Emmanuella Oroma each scored a try while Aisha Nakityo scored the conversions against Impala.

Against Kenyatta, Peace Wokorach, Claire Anena, Aisha Nakityo, and Emmanuella Oroma managed two tries each while Charlotte Mudoola added four conversions.

"Our target is to test all our players and also win this tournament," said Uganda's coach Helen Buteme.

The team is preparing for the Africa 7s due in September.
