One of the accused is the widow, Sarah Nabikolo and her sister-in-law.

KAMPALA - The High Court in Kampala has ordered the suspects in the murder of city businessman Eria Ssebunya Bugembe alias Kasiwukira to defend themselves.

The accused include the widow Sarah Nabikolo.

Others are police officer Ashiraf Jaden formerly attached at Muyenga police station and Sandra Nakungu, a sister-in-law to Nabikolo.

Justice Wilson Masalu Musene said that prosecution had proved its case beyond reasonable doubt that the trioindeed have a case to answer.

"The three ingredients have been sufficiently proved by prosecution. Indeed there was death which was unlawful. I do find that the trio have a case to answer," said the judge.

He said it is necessary for Nabikolo to explain to court why Kasiwukira hired someone to trail her and monitor her movements.

Prosecution led by Samali Wakooli produced 23 witnesses to pin the suspects.

Prosecution alleges that on October 17, 2014 at Muyenga diplomatic zone, the trio murdered Kasiwukira. He was knocked by a speeding car which allegedly belonged to Nakungu as he jogged early in the morning.
