Chestit was told to return to the club only after he accounts for a number of club property including volleyballs

Kampala Amateur Volleyball Federation (KAVC) has suspended one of their senior players Jensen Chestit ahead of their 20th edition of the NSSF KAVC International championships scheduled for August 6-7.

The club has suspended the towering attacker indefinitely for what it has only described as indiscipline.

"What I can tell you is that he (Chestit) knows what to do. If he can do it, we have no problem with him. The coach (Shilla Omuriwe) could not handle his indiscipline," is all KAVC publicity manager Cissy Musiime said.

But an insider in the club revealed that Chestit was told to return to the club only after he accounts for a number of club property including volleyballs, the club used to conduct holiday clinics at Lugogo.

"Many people are not happy with his personal conduct towards property of fellow players and the club. He has no proper explanation for the accusations but gives excuses. Chestit claims he knows where the balls are but he cannot produce them," an official said.

Efforts to reach Chestit for comment were futile.

The annual championship was launched with foreign teams from Kenya, Burundi, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan and Democratic Republic of Congo confirming their participation.
