Ex-soldier found murdered in his house

The police in Fort Portal have arrested eight people in connection with the murder a former UPDF officer.

Said to be in his late 40s, Rtd Cpl Patrick Musana was found dead, his body dismembered, inside his in Mbuzi parish, Karambi sub-county in Kabarole district.

Godlive Tumushabe, the Kabarole Police officer in charge of criminal investigations, told New Vision that whoever killed the ex-soldier used very sharp object to cut off his head.

Police said Musana's wife, Edith Mboneko, found him dead in the afternoon and made an alarm that attracted neighbors.

She has been taken into custody.

"We have arrested the wife of the deceased together with seven others to help police in its investigations," said Tumushabe, condemning the grisly act.

He declined to provide details of the other seven suspects as investigations get under way.
