A call was made for teamwork among elected leaders

Teso Members of Parliament have been tasked to keep in touch with their voters if they are to effectively get the views of the people they represent.

Capt. John Emily Otekat the senior Presidential advisor on Wildlife said there is always a need for elected leaders to consult with the voters such that they get to know the issues of concern affecting the locals.

Otekat's comments come at a time when most elected leaders especially MPs have assumed offices after being sworn in.

Otekat a former MP for Serere County noted that elected leaders also have the responsibility of lobbying for services for their voters if they are to effectively represent the voters.

He called for teamwork among elected leaders for the development of Teso.
