Challengers's lynchpin Hamu Kayondo emphatically made his mark as the leaders continued with a hopeful run for the national men's trophy in spite of fancied three time defending champions Tornado Bee technically being in a better position to reclaim the trophy.

Kayondo's 25 from 34 balls and man of the match Fahad Sadiq's claim of 5 wickets(5/12) inspired Challengers to a 12 runs win against relegation prone Tornado at Entebbe oval on Sunday.

Ivan Thawithemwira's side who are currently leading the log will look at winning their last game and pray hard Tornado Bee lose at least one of their remaining two games.

"We feel we do still have a chance at the trophy. We only have to win our last game against Kutchi Tigers and hope Tornado Bee lose one of their two remaining games." Said challengers captain Ivan Thawithemwira.

However Tornado Bee stand in a better position because in spite of currently being in second place with a difference of two points against the leaders, they do have a game in hand and with their usual ruthless character, it wouldn't be surprising if they win both the games!

In the second division, charity's 7 wickets win against Jinja SS on sunday meant they have qualified back in division one.
