Holders, Pioneer were on the losing side of the story with a mere 1 wicket loss to wanderers in their opening game of the division one national Women's cricket league at Kyambogo oval on Saturday.

Wanderers' Evelyn Anyipo struck 24 from 49 balls with Shakira Sadick and Dorothy Losike claiming 3/18 and 2/17 respectively to halt Barbra Mukankusi's side

Barbra Mukankusi and man of the match Caroline Namugenyi stood out for the defending champions scoring 29 off 68 balls and 27 off 25 respectively.

In the newly created division 2, Joyce Mary Apio and Eunice Alungat inspired Olila to a 137runs win against JACC at Jinja Oval.
 
The former struck 48 from 50 balls as the latter weighed in with 22 off 44 balls.
