UCC founder eyeing top international job

Patrick Masambu has been endorsed the Government of Uganda as her candidate

The founder and the first executive director of the Uganda Communication Commission (UCC) is now eyeing a top international job based in Washington DC.

Patrick Francis Masambu, currently working as deputy director general of the International Telecommunication Satellite Organisation (ITSO) wants to replace his boss as the director general.

Masambu who has been endorsed the Government of Uganda as her candidate is confident that he is the most qualified and so far the only candidate as the current director general not eligible for re-election.

Oryem Okello, the State Minister in charge of International Affairs has been informed the campaigns officially start this month.

Okello promised to sell the idea that the candidate gets endorsed as a sole candidate for Africa.

He underscored the importance of Ugandans in such international positions. He promised to work hard for the successful campaigns when they officially open.

Masambu promised the minister to carry the Ugandan flag high if he is elected in October.
