Court was to decide on the bail conditions for the disgraced mayor
01.07.1998 - Hearing of a case against Kampala Mayor Nasser Ntege Ssebagala over charges of bank fraud and false declaration to US Customs officers began.
He was alleged to have committed the crimes in February 1997.
A US Federal Court in Brooklyn, New York was going to decide on the bail conditions for the mayor and whether to give him back his passport to return to Uganda.
