Fencing gets Gems Cambridge School support

The School principal Neville Sherman made the revelation at press briefing at the school campus in Luzira before signing a partnership that will drive the growth and development of the sport in the country.

The sport of fencing has received a boost from Gems Cambridge International School that has agreed to avail its sport facilities.

"I am fascinated and excited that we have this MOU,Fencing is a skilful sport and we are not going to stop from offering facilities but also contribute three kits to increase on the training equipment,"Sherman stated.

He also urged the Fencing Federation led by Gabriel Oloka to organise competitions that will help identify talents and develop the sport further so that quality players are available for the 2020 Olympics in Japan.

Fencing President Gabriel Oloka commended the school for the support and urged others to emulate them.
