Lt. Gen Gutti sworn as new court martial chairman

Lt. Gen. Charles Angina, the Deputy Chief of Defence Forces (UPDF) presided over the ceremony.

Lt. Gen. Andrew Gutti has been sworn as the new chairman of the General Court Martial (GCM), replacing the late Maj Gen Levi Karuhanga.

Gutti who has been the commander of the Uganda Senior Command and Staff College at Kimaka in Eastern Uganda took oath on Monday in a ceremony held at the court premises in Kampala.

Lt. Gen. Charles Angina, the Deputy Chief of Defence Forces (UPDF) presided over the ceremony.

Gutti was sworn in with other 23 General Court Martial staff including Col. John Baptist Mulindwa, Lt. Col. Agnes Musoke, Lt. Col. Jasper Abeka, Maj. Nathan Mwesigwa, Maj. Christine Nekesa, Maj. John Mugisha, Cpt. Stella Karungi, Capt. Tom Amee, WO2 John Kisembo and Wo2 Daniel Jokene.
