I need my space but she won't move out

Hi,

I let my friend move into my house six months ago because she needed a place to stay for a short while. But she is not showing signs of leaving any time soon. She had said she needed to sort her head out and figure out things for a few months but it's now stretching to a year. I like my own space some times and even though I like having her around, I would like her to leave. I don't want to lose her as a friend, but it's not working out. How do I tell her? What do you do?
