My relationship with Talia

Talia is definitely a girl I love writing about. I mean what's there not to write? She was clearly one of my besties in the house, one of the few that kept me sane for a long 91 days. Where do I start? Ok, we start here. Talia was the playful yet thoughtful kind of girl who liked to argue a lot about a range of things. She was the smartest of all the girls in the game and that's documented. When I talk smart I don't mean Givenchy and Luis Vuitton smart, I mean real brains. That girl could argue about just anything and she would embarrass you on camera if you were not good with your game. So many big boys with huge egos were reduced to small boys every time they tried to outsmart her. I had read her; she could not embarrass me because come on I was equally smart. This is why we became real tight with each other.

Talia was the very light girl from Zambia. She came to the house with her  half-sister Tamara and these two would fight like all the time but the harder they fought the more they learnt about each other and even loved each other the more. She cried a lot. She was such a girl! The first time I met her was just right before the first live show in the parking lot of the Big Brother studios. Her car was just parked next to mine and the good thing was that her chaperon was sisters with mine so somehow we stole an eye on each other and waved a couple times. I mean we were excited to be on the show, little did we know how tough it was going to be once the show started.

The show started and we quickly got along since we shared a strong love for music. More often we would sit down and compose lyrics with her sister Tamara and promise ourselves how we were going to hit studio and record all that music once we left the house. I still don't know how life moved so fast that we haven't even talked about it up to now. Every one somehow is caught up in their own lifestyle and we have since grown so there you have your answer.

Moving forward, Talia quickly fell in lust with the Angolan lad called Seydou and definitely at that time we all thought it was the coolest thing to do. I mean getting laid. She quickly got swallowed into it and I never saw her that much for a few weeks as she was always stuck with Seydou somewhere in the upper bedroom either kissing or doing old people stuff. We would just bump into each other in the kitchen and sometimes at tasks. I always chose her group because she was very good at art. She and Wati made my life easy when it came to assignments that involved art.

Somehow three weeks into the game Esperanza who was Seydou's partner from Angola asked for a voluntary exit and that only meant her partner had to leave with her. It was more like a blessing in disguise. I got my friend back. Not that I didn't wish well for the relationship but having my friend back was more important for my game plan than if the relationship had grown stronger. I went in that house by myself and I was focused on executing my game plan so I could get the three hundred thousand dollars.

Seydou was gone and she was sad for a few days but I always had her back. We talked about a lot of stuff which we seemed to both enjoy. I remember when Big Brother paired us and we were both leaders of our group and we had to go head to head about a Q&A with the other group. We beat the other group miserably bad that they had to put in a request to buy me to be their leader. Talia rejected their request but somehow Biggie rules played a huge part and the other group led by Prezzo managed to buy me for a few drinks.

Fast forward Talia and I became really close and she intimated to me several times how she was fighting with her feelings for Seydou now that he was out of the house and I only told her to stay loyal to her man even when he was out of the game. Things did not go as I had advised or wished. She had other plans. Falling for Keagan, the South African lad who swept her off her feet with his foul mouth. The two sparked off a romance way late into the game, if I can remember correctly it was in the twelfth week with just two weeks left to the end of the show. For sure she could have waited longer but it seems she was really burning, just saying! The two even had a steaming romp on one of our drunken nights and that's when I knew there was going to be trouble. I had a clue of who Seydou was.

Keagan and Talia

After the show there was a lot of drama nobody saw. Of course you didn't because it was not documented and so the insiders only saw. Seydou comes with a guitar that he wants Talia back and Keagan loses it and dumps Talia on the same night he won the $300,000USD. From then I knew people are not to be trusted.

I saw Talia off at the Hilton on Tuesday morning after we had several interviews with papers and radio stations. She was the first to leave because I am sure she couldn't handle the anguish. The next I heard of Talia was when she moved to the United States but somehow I managed to get her number and since then we are still in touch. She is happily engaged to an American boy from San Francisco California!
