"There is a saying that ‘Cultural institutions evoke emotional responses, Political institutions do not' so if you are a development analyst then you harness those emotional responses and if you are a businessman you know what to do better, this is what we offer, we offer emotions that are untapped so Busoga Kingdom welcomes MTN Uganda in this field of culture," Muvawala said.

He said the Inhebantu Alice Muloki library is a magnificent icon in Busoga because it was named after the late Queen of Busoga Inhebantu Alice Muloki.

"I urge students in Basoga especially girls to study hard, you never know you may be the nect Inhebantu of Busoga since the Kyabazinga has not yet got a musoga wife, please make use of the library because its free of charge," Muvawala noted.

Muvawala applauded MTN Uganda and other partners in development like Stanbic bank for their unwavering support and loyalty to the Kingdom.

He further asked basoga to buy busoga certificates to financially support the Kingdom and later handed over certificates to people who had bought them.

He urged the public to make use of the library to fight poverty, disease and ignorance as it is sung in the Busoga Kingdom Anthem.

"I direct the Ministry of Youth Affairs and ICT to allow schools with no libraries or without computer laboratories to use the ICT library at Busoga Kingdom headquarters and the only way we will gauge that MTN has supported us is by use of this library, so use it to fight illiteracy in Busoga," Muvawala said.

He requested MTN Uganda to engage in other development projects of the Kingdom geared to transform the Basoga.

Phrase Lubega, the General Manager of Mobile Money Services in Uganda said MTN runs a development program in 22 countries in the World under their ninth version of 21 days of investing in education where they engage community activities.

He said the theme of this year's version is ‘Investing in ICT in education for all with a special purpose in ICT'.

He said that through their partnership with Busoga Kingdom, they delivered 20 DEL desktop computers, equipped the resource centre with internet, painted the Inhebantu library, and equipped it with digital content, textbooks, E-books, 10 tables and book shelves among others.

The Minister for Youth Affairs and ICT in Busoga Kingdom, Suleiman Hashim who was accompanied with the State Minister for Youth Affairs and ICT Veronica Kagona, said the project will be used as a weapon to fight illiteracy, poverty and improve communication in Busoga.

Muvawala planted a tree at the library and also took part in painting the library.

Present at the ceremony were Busoga Kingdom Ministers, pupils and Students from various schools. Students and Pupils danced and sang themselves hoarse to crown the function
