Boxer Kakembo set for Ghana's Dogboe

Kakembo is lined up against Ghana's Isaac Dogboe in a 10-round fight at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Coach Isaac ‘Zebra' Senyange has tipped boxer Edward Kakembo for a good result in the WBO African featherweight championship in Accra, Ghana on Saturday.

This is the second title the Ugandan boxer is fighting for in six months since he beat Waidi 'Skoro' Usman of Nigeria to win the African Boxing Union (ABU) featherweight title in Lagos on December 26, 2015.

Coach Senyange has promised that his boxer will deliver a good result. "My boxer is ready for the challenge. The stamina is OK and the speed his class," he boasted .

The unanimous points victory over Usman proved Kakembo, 25, as a promising talent. It was also a defining moment on Kakembo's career.

The Accra fight goes down as the biggest fight card of the moment for the Ugandan professional boxer.

The fights brings together two undefeated boxing prospects with Dogboe (13-0, 8 KOs) taking on fellow undefeated prospect Edward Kakembo (10-0, 3 KOs).

Dogboe, is a much talked about Ghananian boxer since the days of  Agbeko. Ghana fans tout a world champion in waiting.However, Kakembo is no pushover and as he carries an impressive amateur resume to Ghana.
