5 Ugandan clubs enter Genocide Memorial tourney

Sport-S finished third at the 2014 edition

KAVC, Nemostars and Sport-S volleyball clubs have confirmed their participation in the Genocide Memorial Cup.

KAVC, Sport-S and Ndejje will field both men and women's teams while the GoodsExpress.com sponsored Nemostars and Vision Volleyball Camp will have only the men and women teams respectively.

This year's competition that has attracted 22 teams from Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, DR Congo, South Sudan, Burundi, Tanzania and Congo-Brazzaville will be staged in 10 different venues before it climaxes at Amahoro Indoor Stadium.

Rayon Sports of Rwanda are the defending champions in the men's category while Rwanda Revenue Authority hold the women's title.

Sport-S men's volleyball team captain Dickens Otim has advised Ugandan teams travelling for this year's Rwanda Genocide Cup to ignore biased minds at the competition and focus on executing their play if they are to perform well at the tournament.

Sport-S finished third at the 2014 edition of the annual event.
