TODAY IN HISTORY: UPA renounces rebellion

20.05.1988 - An agreement to end fighting between NRA and Uganda People's Army (UPA) was reached in a meeting that took place in Serere 23 miles south west of Soroti.

The rebel command of Serere and Kasilo Zone renounced rebellion.
