Muhoozi now Major General

The President promoted his son and also the commander Special Forces Command (SFC) Brig. Muhoozi Kainerugaba to the rank of Maj. General.

President Yoweri Museveni who is the Commander in Chief of the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) has promoted several senior and junior army officers.

According to a list of the newly promoted officers sent to all army units, the President promoted his son and also the commander Special Forces Command (SFC) Brig. Muhoozi Kainerugaba to the rank of Major. General.

Special Force Command (SFC) is in charge of security of the President, Vice President, members of the first family and other sensitive installations in the country.

His deputy Col. Stephen Muzeyi Sabiiti was promoted to the rank of Brigadier.

Other officers promoted include: Major General Joram Mugume to Lieutenant General, Col James B Mugabe to Brigadier and Colonel Charles Lutaaya to Brigadier.
