The Unfinished Business: what women want from the 10th parliament

May 16, 2016

The manifesto emphasises five key issues namely women’s health, education, land and property rights, economic empowerment, politics and decision with actionable targets for the next five years.

Quite often, women are never consulted on what they want even in their smallest social settings such as family.

However, as the members of the 10th Parliament take oath, women across the country have laid their demands and expectations clear in a document dubbed: "The Unfinished Business: The women's manifesto 2016-2021".

The manifesto emphasises five key issues namely women's health, education, land and property rights, economic empowerment, politics and decision with actionable targets for the next five years.

According to the manifesto, much as a lot has been done to achieve gender equality, a lot more needs tp be done.

Her Vision, this week explores the women's manifesto in detail as well as thoughts on the manifesto from the different stakeholders.
