Mangat wins Masaka rally

Jas Mangat continued to strengthen his National Rally championship title hopes with another win in Masaka on Saturday.

Mangat navigated by Joseph Kamya in a Mitsubishi EvoX posted a time of an 1 hr.48.01 minutes beating his closest NRC title contenders Ronald Ssebuguzi who posted a time of an 1 hr 54.35 minutes and Nile Special USPA rally driver of year 2015 Arthur Blick Jr.(1:57:28).

"It was a tight event having two long days but am happy we won it and it puts us in a wonderful position in NRC Standings," Mangat stated.

The two day event had over 13 crews.

Desh Kananura, Ambrose Byona, Fred Wapamba, Jonas Kansiime Dr.Ashraf Ahmed,Duncan Mubiru Kikankane and  Ponsiano Lwakataka were among the notable top drivers who dropped out.

Next on the NRC calendar is the Fort portal rally  next month.
