Onyango guides Sundowns to seventh title

The goalkeeper was part of Sundowns' 3-0 victory over the University of Pretoria at the Tuks stadium on Wednesday.

In the week, Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Denis Onyango was crowned Nile Special USPA footballer of the year 2015, he has guided his Mamelodi Sundowns to their 7th title of the South African premier league title.

The goalkeeper was part of Sundowns' 3-0 victory over the University of Pretoria at the Tuks stadium on Wednesday.

Denis 'Vala' Onyango, who has been the number one goalie at the Brazilians' side once again played the entire duration of the game.

With 49 caps under the belt for Uganda Cranes, Onyango, 30, is happy for the trust bestowed upon him at the club.

"It's all been all about maturity, self-belief and also the competition that I have at the club and national team," Onyango said.

I also want to thank the management and coaching staff of Mamelodi Sundowns who gave me the opportunity to play - and more importantly, my wife and children who supported me throughout.
